Grade 8 Curriculum

The STANDARD PROGRAM for Grade 8 runs between 08: 30-16: 40/17: 25 and includes:

a) Subjects from the NATIONAL CURRICULUM
• Romanian language and literature – 4 hours
• English – 6 hours (intensive)
• French – 2 hours
• Latin language – 1 hour
• Mathematics – 4 hours
• Physics – 2 hours
• Chemistry – 2 hours
• Biology – 1 hour
• Civic culture – 1 hour
• History – 2 hours
• Geography – 2 hours
• Religion – 1 hour
• Plastic education – 1 hour to 2 weeks
• Music education – 1 hour to 2 weeks
• Technological education – 1 hour
• Physical education and sports – 1 hour
• Counseling and guidance – 1 hour
• Junior Achievement club “Education for professional orientation” – 1 hour

b) HOMEWORK CLASSES – 8 hours/ week
• Romanian language topics – 3 hours/ week
• Math topics – 3 hours/ week
• Various topics – 2 hours/ week

c) PREPARATION FOR NATIONAL EVALUATION EXAM- 6 hours/ week
• Training NE Romanian language – 3 hours/ week
• NE mathematics preparation – 3 hours/ week
