Dr Daniela Baitan
Miss Daniela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and was awarded a scholarship for a two-year international Master’s program, followed by the completion of a PhD in Biochemistry. Having studied in seven different countries, she brings a rich international and interdisciplinary perspective to science education.
As a chemistry teacher, Miss Daniela is deeply committed to creating inclusive and engaging learning environments that support a wide range of learning styles. She has completed training in High Performance Learning techniques and applies these strategies to help students develop confidence, independence, and critical thinking skills. She is particularly interested in helping students understand how chemistry connects to everyday life and how it is applied across diverse scientific, technological, and industrial fields.
In addition to her teaching role, Miss Daniela has experience as an Examination Officer for international examination boards and has managed and coordinated Sixth Form groups, supporting students academically and pastorally through key stages of their education.
Beyond the classroom, she values experiential learning and personal development, reflected in her completion of assessor training for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. In her spare time, she enjoys food-focused travel, theatre and improvisation classes, and spending time in nature, particularly trekking.
