Anamaria-Mădălina Hrimiuc

Anamaria studied Psychology at bachelor level and completed a master’s degree in Trauma Psychology, alongside clinical supervision and training in Emotion-Focused Therapy. She works both as a teacher and as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, and she finds that her clinical work helps her bring psychology into the classroom in a grounded and meaningful way.
In A Level Psychology, she guides the students to learn about mental illnesses, why and how they develop, and as well as ways to treat them, be it through pills or therapy, these being part of the Clinical syllabus. In Health psychology, she approaches with students topics of great importance for our day to day life such as pain, stress, and adherence to medical advice.
She has been involved in international projects, volunteered with children in the Caribbean and travelled around the world. These experiences enriched her understanding of the world, aspect reflected in her teaching of IGCSE Global Perspectives, where students tackle global issues (e.g., migration, poverty, employment) and consider different perspectives.
